General Terms used in an Electrical circuit

Junction: The point where more than 2 wires are connected is called as Junction. (In above Diagram Point A and D are Junctions.)

Loop : The closed Path in an electrical circuit consisting of components are called as Loop. ( In above diagram ABCDA  , ADEFA , ABCDEA are loop.

Branch: The path between two adjacent junctions are called as Branch. {In above diagram ABCD,  

AD ,AFED are branches.
