Characteristics of image formed by a plane mirror 

1) The image formed in the plane mirror is virtual.
2) The image formed in the plane mirror is erect.
3) Images formed by the plane mirror are laterally inverted. the (b left side changes to right and vice versa)
4) The distance of the image from mirror is always equal to the distance of the object from the mirror.
5) The height of the image formed is equal to that of the object measured from the principal axis.
